*1. The API system has been suitably amended and now it has been streamlined in favour of teaching fraternity and in favour of quality control as well.*
*2. Maximum 20% of the faculty strength can avail study leave for PhD separately from other leaves like maternity, CCL etc.*
*3. Teachers who are due for promotions and have been working according to the conditions of Regulations 2010 can use any of the two I.e. 2018 or 2010 for next 3 years.*
*4. College Principals will now be Professors.*
*5. Principals will get a term of 5 years and one more term of 5 years only after assessment.*
*6. After successful completion of two terms principals will go back to their parent institution with both pay protection and Professorship.*
*7. Senior Professor to be appointed in University.*
*8. The controversial formula of 50:30:20 for recruitment at Assistant Professor now scrapped. Now the selection will be only on the basis of performance in interview.*
*9. Uniform screening process for Assistant Professor in all Universities and Colleges respectively.*
*10. Allowances such as HRA, TA, DA etc. , pension, gratuity and Medical in consonance with Central Government employees.*
*11. Advance Increments for PhD and MPhil restored as mentioned in UGC Regulations 2010.*
*12. Regulations clearly mentions to avoid appointments of contractual teachers . However if absolutely necessary then there pay should be equal to gross salary of Assistant Professor at starting level.*
*13. Earned Leave to be given to teachers if vacations are curtailed.*
*14. Counting of past adhoc services without the requirement of minimum one year service.*
*15. No compromise in promotion due to study leave/CCL/maternity and all other paid leaves.*
*17. Research Score for both Referred and UGC listed journals.*
*18. Both Supervisors for PhD in joint supervision to get equal research scores.*
*19. Both Project investigators to get equal Research scores.*
*20. Research scores for state/national teaching awards and fellowship.*
*21. Feedback can be implemented by IQAC wherever feasible as per NAAC guidelines on institutional parameters without incorporating the component of students’ assessment of individual teachers in assessment criteria and methodology Proforma.*

Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, or the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulation,2016, and their subsequent amendments from time to time, as the case may be, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or any equivalent position in any University, College or Institution,' reads the policy.
